| At an early age, you were apprenticed to the Great Wizard John, but you grew tired of having to tidy the floors and muck out the alchemical equipment day in and day out. So, you stole a spellbook and took off to become a Wizard on your own. You rode into the city of Swampleton, and met a shadowy stranger in a hooded cloak who was sitting in the corner of the local bar. He told you about the legendary Gold Elephant seal of Bacon, which is rumored to be hidden in an ancient crypt near the village of Flytrap, and promised you a hefty fee if you could bring it to him. Figuring he wouldn't offer you the quest if it weren't level-appropriate, you readily agreed. It was pretty easy, until you got your eye caught in a meat grinder and had to gnaw it off to escape. Fortunately, you don't need that to be a hero... but you will sort of miss it. However, you knew you'd never be a mighty adventurer if you let a little setback like that stop you, and damned if you were going to end up a bard in some crummy backwater like Dropseat or Cold Crick. So you pressed onward until you discovered the lair of the Fire Sorcerer Frazool, and after a long and dramatic battle you successfully put an end to his evil ways. And then you looted the hell out of his hideout.
