After the entire village of Cold Crick was murdered, including your niece and father, you vowed to get your revenge. You became a mighty Fighter, albeit one who was easily distracted by sidequests.

One fateful day, you were strolling through the quiet village of Ironforge when you met the town farmhand. That worthy begged you to try and rescue a farmer's quarter-witted stepchild, who had been kidnapped by gypsies. Having little to do except save the world from an evil sorcerer or whatever, you took the quest.

It was pretty easy, at first, but you didn't expect to have to bareknuckle-fight all those accountants. That weretiger picked the total worst time to eat your battleaxe.

However, you managed to overcome the odds (and your injuries), and after a lengthy crawl through a tomb infested with thieves, you finally came upon the lair of the Evil Barbarian Unpleasantor, who was guarding the object of your quest. The evil fiend fell before your 10' pole, and the land was finally free of his foul shenanigans. You made your way back to civilization, and basked in the glory of your success (and the reward money).
