Life was hard as an orphan on the streets of Bobcat, without a dad or niece to teach you right from wrong. On the other hand, you wouldn't have grown up to be such a talented Thief otherwise.

As luck would have it, you found yourself wandering through the sleepy village of Cowpat just as the village people (you know, the construction worker, the cop, the Indian) were beset by the evil King Diablolo, who had poisoned the town's boa constrictor population. Against your better judgment (and with the hope of fat loot to come), you agreed to try and bring the villain to justice.

You were kickin' ass and chewin' bubblegum but then you wandered into a room totally full of hobgoblins, plus a lich, which is weird because you would have figured they'd have killed each other. They made a pretty good attempt at killing you, though.

You holed up in a small storeroom with a lockable door, and spent several weeks resting until your hitpoints were back to full. Then, keeping a careful eye out for desperados, you made your way to the lair of Fire Troll Murderpelican and the object of your quest. You thought he nearly had you when he summoned a foul roper to his aid, but you put paid to the beast with your longbow and knocked the villain screaming into a beartrap with a well-placed kick to the bung. At last, the treasure was yours!
