| After the entire village of Hamlet was murdered, including your grandma and brother, you vowed to get your revenge. You became a mighty Fighter, albeit one who was easily distracted by sidequests. You rode into the city of Blurstishire, and met a shadowy stranger in a hooded cloak who was sitting in the corner of the local bar. He told you about the legendary Gold Polar bear of Yarbleshire, which is rumored to be hidden in an ancient crypt near the village of Frog, and promised you a hefty fee if you could bring it to him. Figuring he wouldn't offer you the quest if it weren't level-appropriate, you readily agreed. You had a good handle on it up until the part where you found yourself trapped between a vending machine and a beartrap, with a cockatrice bearing down upon you. That strawberry was pretty delicious, but it's didn't really make up for the damage to your eye. You holed up in a small storeroom with a lockable door, and spent several weeks resting until your hitpoints were back to full. Then, keeping a careful eye out for goblins, you made your way to the lair of Shadow Witchlord Morgar and the object of your quest. You thought he nearly had you when he summoned a foul lich to his aid, but you put paid to the beast with your pike and knocked the villain screaming into a lava pool with a well-placed kick to the calf. At last, the treasure was yours!
