After the entire village of Dropseat was murdered, including your niece and father, you vowed to get your revenge. You became a mighty Fighter, albeit one who was easily distracted by sidequests.

One fateful day, you were strolling through the quiet village of Piehole when you met the town seamstress. That worthy begged you to try and rescue an inkeeper's ugly cousin, who had been kidnapped by dire dwarves. Having little to do except save the world from an evil sorcerer or whatever, you took the quest.

You had a good handle on it until you had to fend off half a dozen orcs with your groin trapped in a iron maiden. Fortunately, most of them ran away when the mimic showed up, and you played dead until it left. That's not very heroic, but hey, it worked.

Fortunately, "giving up" isn't in your dictionary (probably because it's two words), so you persevered. You fought your way through countless orphans and dire dwarves -- even a horse! But eventually you found the lair of the sinister Fire Warlock Sliceskull, and were able to defeat him by knocking him into a cookie jar with a lucky critical hit. Bruised but successful, you made it back to the nearby city of Morcestecershire and claimed your reward.
