At an early age, you were apprenticed to the Great Wizard Leo, but you grew tired of having to tidy the floors and laminate the alchemical equipment day in and day out. So, you stole a spellbook and took off to become a Wizard on your own.

You headed off into the wild wilderness of Brazzleton in search of adventure, and upon your arrival at the great city of Waltermatthau you heard a town crier shouting about how the the Dauphin's underdeveloped grandfather had been kidnapped by barbarians, and the massive reward for their rescue. Not wanting to get in the way of the plot railroad, you set out on your new quest.

It was pretty easy, until you got attacked by more gypsies than you could handle. You were lucky to get out of there with your neck intact!

Fortunately, "giving up" isn't in your dictionary (probably because it's two words), so you persevered. You fought your way through countless hobos and dire dwarves -- even a blue slaad! But eventually you found the lair of the sinister Black Sorcerer Goldthwait, and were able to defeat him by knocking him into a meat grinder with a lucky critical hit. Bruised but successful, you made it back to the nearby city of Flabbernathy and claimed your reward.
