| After your quiet hometown of Dropseat was attacked by kobolds and, despite your young age, you were forced to take up arms to defend it, you decided that the life of a Fighter was the life you were looking for. It would be a long and difficult road, but it sure beat the heck out of being a tavernkeep like your grandpa wanted. You rode into the city of Blurstishire, and met a shadowy stranger in a hooded cloak who was sitting in the corner of the local bar. He told you about the legendary Topaz Dog of Burglechester, which is rumored to be hidden in an ancient pyramid near the village of Quirm, and promised you a hefty fee if you could bring it to him. Figuring he wouldn't offer you the quest if it weren't level-appropriate, you readily agreed. Everything was going great until you got your kidney caught in a meat grinder and had to gnaw it off to escape. Fortunately, you don't need that to be a hero... but you will sort of miss it. Fortunately, "giving up" isn't in your dictionary (probably because it's two words), so you persevered. You fought your way through countless hobos and indigent native tribesmen -- even a mimic! But eventually you found the lair of the sinister Shadow Sorcerer Xxyrg, and were able to defeat him by knocking him into a beartrap with a lucky critical hit. Bruised but successful, you made it back to the nearby city of Limberford and claimed your reward.
